CORA designs region specific projects that aim to solve the problems in crises regions because we realise that people have unique needs for which there is no ‘one size fits all’ patent.

We also realize that at the root of most the challenges (malnutrition, illiteracy, child labour, gang violence, teenage pregnancies, etc) that the majority of people face in troubled regions are poverty and unemployment. 

Many charities address one or more of these problems in various ways. CORA however realizes that these problems are connected in a way that makes it difficult to solve one independent of the other. Much in the same way that giving food to a child whose parents are hungry would not stop the child from going hungry the next day, trying to fix one of the problems without attacking it from the roots only creates a temporary solution. CORA believes in equipping the parents with the skills to provide for that child in the future alongside feeding that child until the parents can.

Our projects are designed with a similar reasoning. We start our multi faceted projects on a small manageable scales and expand them as each phase is succesfully completed. For more details on current project plan and needs, please refer to The Niger Delta Project.
