- To reduce child labor and abuse.
We aim to achieve this goal by providing a safe place for children who have no guardians. This includes a place for them to live, an education and a balanced diet. We also provide schools where children from underprivileged families can receive a free education.
- To provide a place for older teenagers to channel their energies positively.
CORA provides special lessons and support for teenagers with learning difficulties, as well as providing education to those teenagers who are unable to afford it. The teenagers will also be introduced to a variety of sports, and provided with all facilities and equipment needed to participate in them.
- To give young, single mothers the means to take care of themselves and their babies.
CORA offers young, single mothers a safe place where they and their children are provided with meals and shelter. We offer classes to train the mothers in a variety of trades and services, which they can potentially use in the future to sustain themselves and their child(ren).
- To give people with disability issues equal opportunities.
In most African countries, the lack of social welfare makes it very diffucult for people with disability issues to gain access to education and employment. These clients will be taught to create various articles that can then be sold, thus allowing the clients to support themselves. They will also be provided with food and boarding as needed.
- To reduce the unemployment rate.
Clients suffering unemployment will be hired under CORA’s business initiative or given the opportunity to learn skills to start of small scale businesses.
