Volunteer

Please consider volunteering with CORA. People, just like you, are instrumental in achieving CORA's vision to a more equitable, self-sustainable Africa.

Your time commitment will be what you make it. CORA is flexible and would appreciate as much or as little of your time as your willing to give. There are opportunities for volunteers to become full or part-time workers, and there are also opportunities for skilled workers to volunteer on a one-time or infrequent basis, for example, by holding educational workshops.

There are many different ways you can volunteer. The following list of volunteer positions showcases some of the areas your time and expertise are needed most. Please note that this list is NOT exhaustive, whatever time and/or expertise you'd be willing to contribute would be much appreciated.

Urgent Need

CORA urgently needs a team of enthusiastic, streetwise people who specialize in collecting data to travel through villages in Rivers State and Bayelsa (begining in the second week of July) and estimate the number of people living below preset poverty margins. This could be a paid position if no volunteers are found. Volunteers however would have all their living expenses taken care of. Accurate estimates of the number of children/ people living on the streets, orphans, single mothers and their children are needed to fully grasp the magnitude of the problem. Knowledge of statistics and database management is essential.

If you are interested in volunteering in any of the categories listed above, or ones not specified, please contact us. Provide as much information as you can on your availability and what role you'd like to play in CORA. A CORA representative will be pleased to promptly send you an e-mail with more information.
